Know if your money supports
the retirement you want.
Aldra brings your whole financial picture together — ISA, LISA, SIPP, workplace pension, GIA, property and debt — and runs thousands of simulations to show whether it holds up. It's a desktop app on your own computer. No cloud. No subscription.
Every UK retirement planner makes the same compromise.
You can have power, or UK-correctness, or your whole financial picture, or you can keep your data to yourself. Right now you can't have all four in one place.
Built for the planner who wants all four.
Your whole picture, modelled right
ISA, LISA, SIPP, workplace pension (with your employer's match shown clearly), GIA, property and debt — together, not in isolation, with the real UK rules and tax rather than relabelled US accounts. Includes a proper mortgage-vs-invest comparison.
Runs on your machine
A proper desktop app — not a browser tab, not a website. No account, no cloud, no tracking, no open network port. Your numbers live in a file on your own computer.
Shows its working
Open any result and read the year-by-year maths behind it: every withdrawal, every tax line, the formula and the figures it used. Export the whole model. Nothing hidden in a black box.
Pay once. Own it.
One price, yours to keep — with the tax rates in a file you can edit yourself when the Budget changes. No subscription, no annual creep, no surprise renewal.
See the "free money" most people never look at.
If you're auto-enrolled — and almost every UK employee now is — your employer pays into your pension alongside you, every single payslip. Aldra models your workplace pension with the employer's contribution shown as its own line, compounding in plain sight instead of disappearing into one combined balance.
- Employer's contribution shown on its own — never folded into a single figure, so you can see what it's worth.
- Salary sacrifice handled — including the National Insurance it saves you.
- Sensible defaults, your real scheme — pre-filled with the auto-enrolment minimums, then edited to match what your employer actually pays.
- More than one pension — current job, old pots, a SIPP: add as many as you have.
You shouldn't have to trust a black box with your retirement.
Every figure Aldra shows can be opened up and read. Pick any year of any simulated path and see exactly how the number was reached — balances, returns, what was drawn from where, and the tax on it.
When the rules change, you change a value in a plain config file. The engine — not a price rise — does the rest.
Read how the whole model fits togetherAldra models the years most calculators skip.
If you stop working before you can touch your pension, there's a gap to fund. Aldra plans the bridge — living off your ISA and GIA until your SIPP unlocks, then the State Pension — and tells you whether it holds, whatever age you're aiming for.
It's the defining UK problem US tools structurally can't model, and free calculators don't try.

The things you're right to ask.
Does it connect to my bank?+
No. You enter your figures, or import them from a CSV or a tool you already run like Firefly III or Actual. Nothing is linked to a bank, and nothing is sent anywhere.
Is it actually private?+
Yes. It's a desktop app with no server and no network calls — there's no website your data passes through. Your plan lives in a file on your own machine that you can back up or delete.
Which systems does it run on?+
Windows, macOS and Linux. You download a signed installer and run it like any other desktop application.
Can it compare overpaying my mortgage vs investing?+
Yes — it's a built-in feature. Enter your mortgage terms and a spare monthly amount, and Aldra compares overpaying against investing the same money, after tax, showing the break-even return and the range of outcomes rather than a glib single "winner."
Does it handle final salary (defined benefit) pensions?+
Not yet — and we'd rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. Version 1 covers workplace and personal pensions, ISAs, LISAs, SIPPs, GIAs, cash, property and debt. Defined benefit schemes (NHS, teachers, civil service, and old final-salary pots) work completely differently, and modelling them properly is the very next thing we're building — not a bolt-on.
Is this financial advice?+
No. Aldra is a modelling tool. You set the assumptions and you own the outputs — it shows you the maths, it doesn't tell you what to do with your money.
Will there be a subscription?+
No. One payment, and the version you buy is yours. Major future versions may be a paid upgrade, but nothing recurring and nothing forced.
When does it launch?+
It's in active build. Leave your email and you'll get a single message the day it's ready — with the early-bird price locked in.
